We celebrate 3 years of state-of-the-art metal furniture
Metallbude has a reason to celebrate: On September 25, 2020, the company was officially founded. Today, the four founders and the team look back on three exciting, emotional, and successful years. What began as a dream, first became a vague idea and later a concrete plan, today enriches your home and our lives in the form of RUBI, LIVIA, DELAYA, and Co.
What developed from an idea
The Metallbude-story begins quite simply: "Just do it" was the motto.Four young men - two brothers, their brother-in-law, and a mutual friend - decided to take the plunge into self-employment and establish a foothold in the e-commerce sector, despite being complete newcomers and in the midst of the Corona pandemic. The idea: to design high-quality, minimalist metal furniture, produce it themselves, and distribute it via their own online shop. With combined efforts and individual focuses, the company was first established, then the first products, followed by the online shop, and finally the brand was launched. All this was achieved in a few square meters of a garage workshop, but with many hours of work, diligence, and perseverance. The positive response in the form of increasing orders proved that the hard work and belief in their own project had paid off.
Our Milestones of the Last 3 Years
Since then, the company has grown in every respect: the brand Metallbude has become more well-known, the team more multi-professional, the product range more diverse, and the premises larger. This is evidenced not least by the sales figures, follower numbers, and various media reports. We are particularly proud of our partnership with Wortmann Future Capital GmbH and our previous awards: German Business Award, Red Dot Award, Focus Open Award, Employer of the Future, and Top Company. Other highlights for us were hosting our own design contest in 2022 and being invited as a talk guest at the 5th INSIDE Industry Summit this year.Looking back, there was never a standstill at Metallbude - rather, one highlight always follows the next.
Small celebration as a "Thank You" for the bosses
To duly express their gratitude, pride, and appreciation to the four founders and managing directors Tobi, Dennis, Rudi, and Christian, the Metallbude employees had come up with a surprise for the bosses on their own initiative and teamwork: A birthday party in the style of Metallbude. Said and done: The surprise was a success and the evening was spent with happy faces on both sides over pizza and wine.
