A touch of Romance: Homemade Soy Wax Candles with Floral Decorations
Valentine's Day is just around the corner, and what could be better than giving your loved one something special that comes from the heart? Instead of the usual bouquet of flowers or box of chocolates, why not give something creative and personal this year?
Here is a step-by-step guide on how you can easily make these magical candles at home.
- Soy wax
- Candle wick set
- Dried flower petals
- Fragrance Oil (optional, for an extra touch of luxury)
Instructions
Make sure your silicone molds are clean and dry. Place the wick in the center of each mold and secure it with a wick holder to ensure it stays in place while pouring.
Carefully melt the soy wax in a container (for example a washed and dried screw-top jar) over a water bath. Be careful not to overheat the wax to avoid burning it.
If you want to give your candles a special touch, you can add wax dyes and fragrance oil now. Add these in small amounts and mix well until you achieve the desired color and scent strength.
Carefully pour the melted wax into the prepared silicone molds. Make sure to keep the wick centered and spread the wax evenly.
Once the wax has cooled slightly but not completely hardened, you can carefully sprinkle the dried petals onto the surface of the candles.
Allow the candles to cool and harden completely before removing them from the molds. This may take a few hours depending on the room temperature and the size of the candles.
As soon as the candles are solid, you can carefully remove them from the silicone molds and present them on the decorative tray SIVA. Wrap them lovingly with a beautiful bow or ribbon and prepare to bring a radiant smile to your loved one.
